Stormtrooper superstars
The guardian has an article on the upcoming film Downfall and comments on the dangers in a film like this that humanises the Nazis, even makes the SS seem like hero's (that must require some powerful suspension of disbelief) by showing them at their lowest ebb just before their final destruction.
It also goes on to point out the core ideas of Fascism "the notion of the common will, of empowerment through subjection", not an idea that started with the Nazi's as it has been used for centuries by religion to claw its way into peoples minds. This was one of Niechezte's main critiques of the Christian "slave morality" that he was trying to overcome in the Ubermench, which goes to show that had the Nazi's actually read his work they would probably have burned it (the blatant mysoginy and anti-semitism would not have been enough to save it).
